Additional Advice
  • Empty this trap every week if not every few days.
  • To Empty: Take bottom tray off, turn the cone part inside out and dump contents into a bag or however you want to dispose the flies.
  • Put this fly trap in the sun for maximum results. Flies love heat.
  • Keep the fly trap lower to the ground. 2-3 foot off of the ground should work well for you.
  • Do not put this trap where you don't want flies. Instead do put the trap outside the barn, shed, house, or whatever area you are trying to lure the flies away from.
  • Do not put this next to your garbage cans or excrement. The flies are going to be more interested in the garbage that the trap. Do put it away from those areas to draw the flies away from those areas.
  • Works great on horse yards, farms, stables and ranches. Lots of our customers buy 2 to 10 traps to cover the whole area.

Bait Suggestions

  • Dried cat food mixed with water. The water activates the scent and keeps it fresh
  • Rotten meat and fish that stinks, the smellier the better!
  • Fresh fruit with some honey topping. Flies also love sweets!
